AHI handles all of the logistics for all events/requests for visitations; we strive to handle scheduling and planning visitations with expediency and professionalism. All payments for budget must be paid forwarded 4 - 6 weeks ahead of the visit. In the case of last minute cancellation from AHI, all of the budgets will be refunded. If funding is not received, the event will be canceled. We do not accept any other payment types except the above-mentioned options. Al-Hirz Institute is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization - all funds received go towards the operational costs of the organization, not into the pockets of individuals (i.e., AHI is not a For-Profit Organization).
Al-Hirz Institute handles all travel/lodging/per diem options for our esteemed Shuyukh unless agreed upon otherwise; in the case of travel delays or unforeseen circumstances, AHI will either makeup event or refund budget at its own discretion.
Please do not ask shayukh to do any recitations, poetry, lectures, etc beyond what they have prepared in advance to come to do. Before arrival, there are not to be any last minute changes to the agreed upon visit details/schedule.
Forward all event-based inquiries to Travel Coordinator; Al-Hirz removes its’ speakers from the logistical process of events. Any additional requests or concerns can be addressed in coordination ahead of the visit.
Please have a volunteer team available in case there is a need for registration tables, event set-up, additional parking off-site, etc. Al-Hirz Travel Coordinator will assist local volunteers with any details thereof, as needed.
Respect the times allotted on pre-sent itinerary unless agreed upon changes have been made - this is to avoid tardiness to other events. Traveling Coordinator will move speaker at end of events to keep in mind time for event preparation, rest, eating, packing, etc.
No videotaping or photographing shayukh during events unless something has been agreed upon in advance. If there are any recordings during the visit, please inform the Travel Coordinator.
Specific - Shaykh Okasha Kameny does not travel alone. This does not affect the budget, honorarium, per diem, or travel/lodging arrangements.
